The red "race" springs are just that. If you want long cvt life don't use them. I have to to control torque, but wound up at 8.5gr Dr pulley rollers, and wear out belts, at an alarming rate. Three used whatever brands, one oem Bando, one malossi, and I'm on a new Malossi in the mail right now. This is all in 3-4 months. If you can get away with a 1500 use it instead. for me 1500 hits top gear at about 15mph. the red/2000 gets to 35ish before top gear.
The torsion controller is great tho. It smooths out the torque drive so much that you don't even feel it. Even the 10 buck Malossi plastic one is great. I would never go without it again.

Louie at http://www.spi-parts.com/ has them. Along w/ the torsion controller. Try the one you have but if it is even STIFFER I would save it for a 2t Drag bike, and not the street. Maybe someone on Scoot invasion would trade you for a better one for you.

I tried running a red 2000 spring a while ago and couldnt get it to work out at all. My top speed went to pot and even on 7.5g rollers i struggled to get it over 35mph. I got a hill i use to test run on that i get up at 29-31mph on my 1500 spring and 5.5g rollers, on the red spring i dropped to 20-ishmph on all roller weights i tried  ???
Chaos is my co-pilot.
