kymco Agility 50 acceleration
« on: May 17, 2012, 05:28:04 PM »
I have had my agility 50 since it was new in 2008
It overall is a great bike I just want to now what i can do to get it to get up to speed quicker, as of now i upgraded the roller weights to dr pulley sliders that seemed to help a tiny bit, I also have a leo vince stainless exhaust for it, that also helps alittle also, but i need a bigger jet to get along with the pipe
any help or suggestions to help me get her goin better
is greatly appreciated.

..what weight are the sliders??

..i'm assuming you've done the cdi and drive boss??

..pipes dont really benefit a 4t very much, but a free-flow air filter will, along with carb jetting...

also, you can service clutch: clean it up thoroughly, use sandpaper on pads and bell and put some high resistance grease inside drive torque and bearings. it makes a big difference on take up and smoothens up acceleration

replace movable drive face guides(three plastic parts) if it's worn and polish variator pulleys touching belt, with small grade sandpaper also. clean with brake cleaner everything of course :-)

replace belt if it's worn

that's without additional tunning but you can use harder torque spring and clutch sprins as oregondad said but you must sync variator

+ high quality synthetic engine and final reduction oil can help and keep recommended tyre pressure

If the sliders are still stock weight, 6.5g,  then go to 5.5g. I used them for ages now and swear by them, anything heavier and my scoot loses acceleration to the point i cant enjoy riding it. Waiting for 5.1g rollers and a couple of other bit i ordered arriving from SIP in Germany hopefully tomorrow so i plan on trying them out soon as they arrive.
Chaos is my co-pilot.
