Yup 50 Tires
« on: May 03, 2012, 12:19:53 AM »
Hello people..... So I have a 130/70/12 rear & 120/70/12 front tire that's going to need replacing soon as I'm riding my yup quite a bit (It's pretty fun to scoot around town. Plus, I'm getting a great tan!). My question is, Can/Should I use wider tires or the same size on both front and rear? Which scenario would give better performance? If so, What sizes/brands are recommended.

Nobody ever answered why doesn't the "Yup" have it's own section in the forum? Are they the black sheep of kymco?  ???

We don't talk to people that ride Yup's. So I will just type this...
I have a ZX that I have had several sets of tires on. The set I like the best so far are the Pirelli Diabalo's. I have a 130x70x12 front, and rear. I had to play with pressure a bit to get the right feel but I like the look, and feel of bigger tires on both. http://www.bikebandit.com/ they are the best place in the US to get tires. Free shipping, and price matching.
Avon Vypre's are a very close second to the Pirellis. One fact... I had a flat rear tire for a few days, and didn't really notice it. The pirellis have an amazing sidewall that just won't collapse. Hard as hell to install but worth it. Any other tire would have been worn to sh** running flat
