For a good lesson in revving, google Rev it up and go, and follow the Stray Cats into Built for speed, and of course, I fought the Law and the Law won.

Somtimes Miles per gallon isn't as important as miles per hour.

Not in my car  :-\

I cannot drive like an old lady, i find it impossible for any longer than it takes that cop car to pass me by or for me to pass the School zone. Soon as im in the clear and the road is clear and conditions allow i speed up again, normally change gear between 2500-3500 rpm depending on my mood and what music is on the stereo  :D

Just a pet peeve of mine. To say the above statement is saying you are physically or mentally incapable of driving at slow speeds. If your life depended upon it I'm sure you wouldn't blow up, so let’s try for something a little less dramatic. :D

08 i have often said to my wife that if average speed cameras come into widespread use here i WILL give up driving. This will either be thro chiice or because i will lose my license, for sure. Over here we have a points system, 3 points minimum for speeding which stays as an endorsment on your license for 3 yrs, once you hit over 12 points you get a ban. I have no problem paying a fine but the points hurt. There are many, many backroads near my home that have 30mph zones for no real reason, straight open roads, i literally cannot drive at such a slow speed on such roads. Therefore while my statement is perhaps a little "dramatic" it is true none the less.

Built up busy streets and town centres and like most i keep around the limit but on open clear roads and motorways it makes no sense to me to have to go so slow, so i dont and wont.

Maybe i just got a lead foot?
Chaos is my co-pilot.

OK, take this in the light hearted way it's meant. If I'm sitting on the back of your scoot with a gun pointed at your head and the second you go over 30MPH on a backroad you get killed, I'm sure you will keep it under the 30 mark, it's that simple. You and I may enjoy going faster but in all reality we can stay under the mark.

We dont have folk who like to hijack scooter riders at gunpoint in Scotland  :)

Obviously i can ride at 30, i do where it is unsafe or dangerous to ride faster. Just saying if i was forced to do it all day, every day then i WOULD give up driving and riding, or go back to my mountain bike.

Btw, i also managed to get 37mph out of that downhill, not sure on my rpm's as my cycle speedo has no tach on it :D
Chaos is my co-pilot.

Well, as technical terms aren't a part of the english lessons in school, i've had to guess the meaning from the content which it had been used, and since you wouldn't put double v ("revved") in the real bend of revolving: Revolved, i had to quess that it was a noun (revolutions) made into a verb, as this is most often the cause of these false bends

..well, i be damned...

..really??...baddi??

..that's a bit of an off-topic statement....

..maybe somebody should report your post to the moderator, i dunno...

I think we have to know that low mileage scooter will save gas.  It isn't troublesome to seek out one with low scooter mileage. It's wonderful how low-cost brands will give us with a line of scooters with sleek styles and an incredible scooter mileage.

I wanted to add this, my car is actually just as efficient than my scoot.

My Toyota Corolla get 33MPG highway with a full load of passengers (4). that comes out to 132 passenger miles per gal. If my scoot get 65 MPG riding 2 up I'm good for 130 passenger MPG.

My car has AC, I don't get wet if it rains, and I stay warm in the winter. Maybe I should junk my scoot?

NOT!

Nooooooooo! we will miss you 080!!!!!  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I compute differently and that's money coming out of my pocket. In one week (regardless of purpose and number of passengers) I spend (in Philippine pesos) P2,000.00 when I use the car. Scooter = P400.00
Scoot - no heavy traffic, Car parking fee = P35.00,  Scooter parking fee = P15.00 or sometimes free.

What I'm saying is that a car or bus can be as good or better on fuel then a scoot. However if most the time you ride 1 person it is by far more economical to ride a scoot.

Yes, if fuel consumption is the only factor in having a scooter.  I got a scoot because I simply want to ride!

My wife says "It's too hot, lets take the car"  I say, "Let's use the scoot and save gas"

My wife says "It's raining, lets take the car"  I say, "Lots of heavy traffic, let's use the scoot"

enjoy it very much....
