The oil won't make it jump. Just follow the manual with regards to oil change intervals.

Jumps may be caused by a glazed clutch. What they do is sand the surface of the clutch to remove glaze.

I had jumps before but since I don't have the time to dismantle things, I just ignored it and rode. No more jumps now. Maybe a few hard accelerations may cure some small jumps.

What!! Are you saying I could of left it and would of been fine? Oh well, you learn new things everyday lol. You know whats funny, looking at the belt again, it seems like nothing is wrong with it eh. Should I post a pic of it here? Oh well, what's done is done. At least I can leave it the next time it happens again.

Too easy, thanks for the useful info again guys.

I'm saying that the oil (engine oil and gear oil) has nothing to do with the "jump".

I had some "jumps" since last week. I opened the cvt cover yesterday, sprayed some brake clean,
jumps disappeared.

I had a feeling it didn't but wanted to take a guess ;). If I knew how to open the bike then maybe I can find out what the CVT cover look like and grab me a hold of a brake clean.
You wouldn't happen to know what kind of brake clean I should buy e.g. brand? Is that like using CRC?

..oops..i just noticed there is no "drive boss" in that cvt component pic...

..the boss is the steel sleeve that goes on the shaft, through the "variator", at the small end of the belt...

..quite welcome buck!

..all mine are 50cc, but you can easily tweak your 125 cvt for another 10mph, and quicker take-off as well!!...
