..ratchet-strap across the handlebars and one across the rack....scoot on center stand with front wheel against the front of trailer..

Use ratchet straps to tie down the bike. Put the bike on the center stand with the handlebars straight first. Cross the straps in front going from each grip to the opposite side of the trailer tightening evenly and collapsing the front suspension a few inches. Once the front is tied the bike should be very stable. From there, I just run one strap across the back going through and wrapping around the luggage rack. Be sure the straps are not pressed against glossy paint as they will rub the paint off with the wind. The matte black paint doesn't seem to rub off like the glossy paint.

I use the pull-type straps and a canyon dancer, usually without a strap on the back.  That said the above methods work just as well.  When strapping down the scooter, if you are compressing the suspension of the bike that's going to help keep it solid and un-moving.

This is the canyon dancer.

Here is a cheaper alternative.

Chris T. in Asheboro is the one who got me hooked on the Canyon Dancer.

On a side note, People S 50 2t?  When did they make a "S" model in 2-stroke?

Well I'd eat my hat!  That was a smart move - the 4-stroke model is sloooow.  Tiny engine, heavy bike.  I've never seen one of the 2t's.  Thanks for the links lotsadotwordthrowerguy. ;)

Thanks for all the help guys but I did not bye the Kymco S 50 2T (two stroke) so no transport needed. I was quite disappointed of the acceleration and speed of the People S 50 2T -08 compared to my old People 5o 2T -04. More or less the same engine so perhaps the extra weight of the newer one is to blame.

Not sure whether it weighs more or not, but it seems the performance of the newer models it pathetic compared to older models. Exhaust is much more restricted. I think my factory main jet was something like a 75(tiny).

I just checked the manuals for the new and older one:
Main jet 72 on People S 50 2T
main jet 85 on People 50 2T
That should make some differens perhaps.

I wonder which is the best performing big wheel (16") scooter on the market.
