It cant be derestricted if it only goes 30mph, unless it has major problems somewhere.

There really is no point doing anything to try increase speed until you derestrict it fully. It physically cannot go ovet 30-31mph with the restrictions in place, its impossible.

You also dont need an 82 jet in until you derestrict it, 80 is fine for a restricted scoot.

Should get more or less around the same, 40-42mph-ish.

My local Kymco dealer wont cut the cdi any more he said, think he had an issue in the past. The cdi lets it rev much better when cut tho and the engine just feels more responsive. You can buy a cheap unrestricted cdi on ebay for under £10 if you dont want to cut it.
