slight delay at take off

alright people id like to say brilliant forum and info...right ive had a leo vince tt exhaust fitted to my 2004 kymco super 9 ac...let me say i didnt do it my self a garage did everything is stock but the exhaust...so ill get to the point there is a slight delay at take off she starts to move then she rockets away and when i hit 30 mph there is a slight lag ( i can feel it changing gear) then it shoots off again i have put 5.7 rollers in as the garage put 6.5 in and it was nasty it used to lag big time..and another thing when i hit 40 mph theres a vibration where your feet rest on the boards any idears will be a brilliant help thanks

..let's assume that the shop re-jetted your carb, so fuel mix isnt an issue...

..one thing that you can do, and from what you say might be the best thing right now..

..lighter rollers..

..you need to get your take-off rpm up to at least what the pipe's powerband requirements..

..usually thats somewhere around 8500..

..this will help your launch and eliminate the "shift"

..ideally, you're looking for a constant rpm thru acceleration, until you approach top speeds, then they should rise a bit more..

thanks for that....the funny thing is i had 5.7gr in there pretty poor so i tryed 6.5gr just as a test...now it pulls much better but still not as quick i was thinking about clutch and contra springs but im at a loss as to what ones to get

...if you can research what the pipes powerband rpm range is, that will tell your where to start...

..in the ballpark anyway...

...aannd, yeah!..you will probably want a 1500 contra, a un restricted driven pulley set, and some stiffer flys, or and adjustable clutch..

Also I would bet it is jetted too lean on the pilot. Where is your mix screw set at?

yeah your guess was right i phoned them and asked they didnt rejet he said he took it out for a test ride and it didnt need rejetting

By the way... Try 2 sizes bigger on the main, and 1 on the pilot. That should get it.
