Has anyone ever have a problem with the bottom part of the seat hiting the elec. choke.

cant say i've had a problem..is your seat sitting properly on the plastic around the bottom or your carb might be sitting quite high...show some pics of it if you can blue, might get a better idea of whats going on.

Nope. Never. Least not yet. Didnt you fit a replacement carb before? Maybe its a little bigger choke on that?

when i fitted my 19mm race carb i still had clearance and the choke was a little bit bigger than stock.

yes I did put a dif carb in so far things are ok I put a few washer onder me seat bolds to raise up.

yea but i can only see that being a "fix for now"  how big is the carb you put on? i have a 19mm race carb and my mate has put a 24mm carb on his Ag (bbk'd to 80cc) i think he modified under the seat to fit it.

On both my Agilities the choke (OEM carb) is pressing the rubber hood thats on the carb against the inside of the seat.

There seems to be no real problem in my case(s), except for some wear marks, but it fits quite tightly and I can easily imagine that in some cases it can be a real problem...

With the 2006 A50 I've removed the small plastic cover of the choke (it comes off by sliding it upwards) and replaced it by a piece of heatshrink tube to give it more room while still protecting the cable entry (which is the most important function of this cover as far as I can tell)

Ya I took my hood off to I had to raise the seat so high the lock on it wont work. maybe if I just rase the frone of the seat.

Or as a last resort you could maybe cut out a small hole where the choke hits and let it sit inside the luggage box, then your seat can sit back down where it should be and bolt in and the key will work again?

I might just cut out the whole bottom and replace with a peace of wood. and then I can go with a 20 mm carb........

Just to make sure : I guess you did know that the choke can be pointed in any direction that you please ?

Just a thought... I replaced the OEM carb with a brand new one on my 2010 Agility today, and I had to turn the choke 90 degrees to make it fit under the seat, just like I had to do with the new one on my other Agility... Those carbs all seem to be factory-assembled with the choke pointing sideways, which doesn't fit under the seat...
