ok a little embasesed to ask this. the brake pad follower hex pins. to change the pads i have taken the calipers of and noticed the two pins that hold and slide the pads along. i cant get these lose. broken 2 alen keys trying and tryed my drill with a hex head . the drill has huge torque but will not shift these bolts. any advice how to crack these off please?

I had the same problem once.

I solved it with a hex bit in an impact wrench, but that should obviously only be used as a last resort...

After the pins came loose it appeared that they just had been stuck in the corroded aluminium of the caliper, at their small ends - not at the threads strangely enough...

You might get lucky applying WD40 or something like that to the holes in the caliper where the ends of the pins go through and let it soak for a while - beware not to get WD40 or any other petroleum based product anywhere near the brake pistons (those "tubes" that push the pads together) because that might swell their seals and your brake could get stuck...

thanks. have tryed wd40 still not shifted even tryed hex head in a spanner and a bar. not budge lol. my first kymco qurke. ill get the t*@t tomorrow.

Heat! Put a torch on them... They use red Lok Tite at the factory. Heat will melt it, and they should spin right out

just bought an impact driver. its just broke the hex alen key impact bit lol. cant believe what a pain these bolts are.

done. went to mech on street he heated it up for me but still broke 2 allen keys lol what a pain.
thanks for the tip zombie. just dident want to melt the rubber seals. will have to invest in a heat gun

A heat gun will never get it. Well maybe in a few hours of heating...
