Spark plug=world of difference.
« on: August 12, 2012, 05:55:07 PM »
Friggin crazy. My stock derestricted Super 9 LC has always run to 47-50(depending on which way the wind blows) with just me on it. Just replaced the plug BR8HSA, which the scoot had before. Now I hold at 51-52 all the time with me on it(200 lbs). Even with my daughter on the scoot(total of 290 lbs) it still gets up to 48. Damn 10 year old spark plug! lmao.

Good ignition is the most important part of the whole 2t process. You just found that out.
Thanks for sharing. Now the tuning bug begins... Hmmmm. What else can I replace for moe power?

Still amazed that a new plug would be such a difference! Anyhow, have my new unrestricted pulleys and belt. Waiting on new oem rollers, 1500 torque spring, and the yellow cap for the spring to make the transition smoother. Once I get those it's time to pop my cvt hymen....lmao. Will update once parts come. 2wheelpros.com did right by me so far.... Just waitin on rollers, and racing planet stuff will be here in the next 2 days.

..yeah man, you're absolutely gonna be amazed at what that s9 can REALLY do...

..especially with that combo of bits...might have to play with roller weights a bit to get into, and maintain your powerband...

..which should be above 8000...

...aannnd speacking of cvt...i gotta go make some adjustments...

..i'm trying to reduce a high rev (11,000) after take-off..

..basically, i'm starting out good, then running past my powerband, then falling back into it...

...kinda weird...

..these setups change as bits wear in..just keep that in mind..lol..

..bee back inna bit...

I havent changed anything yet. But you think stock weights will not work well with  1500 spring?

Lighter spring. It's holding too long
