Hey guys (again!)
I am continuing my derestriction quest and i was going to take the washer out of the exhaust, but as i was going to take the pipe off i noticed something intriguing (sorry i dont have photos) first off i have a brand new people 50 2 stroke (i believe it is the 2008 or 2009 model, i bought it 3 weeks ago). anyhow i noticed that on the exhaust, on the underside, about 2 or 3 inches from where it connects to the cilinder, the pipe splits into 2. one end continues on to the muffler and the other, of similar dimension, continues for about 3 or 4 inches and than just ends. there is nothing on it. i was intrigued because i have heard nothing of it on the various forums, and on the part sites that sell the original exhaust assembly it does not appear. I would think it is a new form of restriction for the new models. I assume this because on this page:
http://www.geocities.com/bikedudextrm/derestricting.html there is a description of derestricting a Peugeot pipe and the description of the restriction resembles what is on my pipe. Please, if anyone has heard or seen this on their pipe may they enlighten me? thanks!
Maybe i can get around to posting some pictures tomorrow if i have the time and if someone bother's to answer or look at the thread.
