If you want to see how a cvt works just take the cover off your tranny, have the scooter on center stand, start your engine , and watch the cvt move throu the ratios,. I did it last month to see if it made any differance with a new belt,

Be careful not to damage the engine!
Some vario covers include counter bearing and/or seal gasket (engine oil).
