Love my Like 200i!!
« on: September 23, 2012, 01:24:08 AM »
Got this back in August and just had my first service completed on it (book says 200 miles but dealer told me 300 miles).  Just hit 290 so took it in.  Now I'm trying to figure out the next "recommended" service timing - am I right that it's at 600 miles for oil change and cleaning of "Crankcase breather" whatever that is.  Is this right?  Then I'm in at 1800 miles for replacemetn air cleaner, oil change, etc. as show on the list.  Any other advice here to keep my new baby running?

Oh, the dealer put some kind of stabilizer for winter storage into the gas tank, too.  Not sure why - even though it's September I'm sure I'll get the chance a few more times to ride (I'm in the Chicago area) before it's put up for the winter. ;D

We got ours in August as well and I didn't even notice that it had a 200 mile service. I just planned on 600 because that's what I'd been reading everywhere and no one mentioned a 200. Oh well. I'm sure it will live. Just about to take ours in for its 600 mile check and change.

I have to agree with you though, as will anyone else on here with the same bike. It's a great little scooter. I'm a little less impressed with some aspects of the build quality but overall, it really does what's asked of it. We're fortunate in that we can pretty much ride year round here in SoCal.

Glad to hear about another satisfied customer!

Hi Pricess, My dealer with 12 years of scooter sales and service had me come in at 500 miles and I will go back at 1500 for valve adjust and oil. After going through the  manual it looks like engine oil every 1250 and gear oil at 2500 miles. I will be doing those services and spark plug changes. Glad you like your new ride. It has fulfilled all my expectations and I ride it every day(retired). :)

My dealer told me 600 miles until the first service. I just read the maintenance section in my owner's manual and sure enough there is a scheduled service at 200 miles for replacing the fluids and filter.  >:(  Tomorrow my Like 200i goes in for it's first service at 600 miles. I'll talk to the shop tech to hear what he has to say. It should not be an issue not having changed the fluids at 200 miles, except for the fact they tend to use cheaper oils for the breakin period.

Congratulations on your scooter. Tons of fun aren't they? The winter stablizer does you know good if you are still riding the scooter and running the tank down ever couple/few weeks. It's meant for long-term storage (thinks in terms of months). It won't hurt the scooter, just isn't necessary if you continue to ride regularly.

Hi all, After a week of cold rain here in Oregon I got a day of dry. I took the Like off  the battery tender and went for several rides. The scoot fired right up and ran smooth as glass. Fuel injection rocks! I hope I will get some more days this winter to enjoy this fun ride.

Same here.  I haven't ridden in a couple weeks because I broke a couple ribs. Next week it is 70 in Denver. Time to ride.
