Hi guys, I have succesfully replaced the boss drive on my scoot and it jumped from 30mph to 45 which was a good surprise. But I was wondering if they would bother me when I get it inspected considering I baught it restricted. Also it is her first inspection so I don't really know what they do. Finally, I get it inspected at the same place I baught it at. other than that, I was wondering if I could get it inspected somwhere else than where I baught it because it is quite a ride and I know their are some motorcycle shops closer to where I live. Thanks!

They will most likely give you a stink about it.  Leagally derestricted they almost certainly fall under motorcycles.  Just put the old one back on when it gets inspected.

ok thanks, it's not that hard with the right tools so i will just stick the old one back on.

i found another place that will inspect it for me, will they bother me for the derestriction considering i did not buy it from them?

Check out on ebay, in Europe there are available gadgets that you hook up to the scooter CDI that can limit your scooter back to doing <50 km/h. They are usually turned on via hidden switch or by a combination of brake levers (for example, 3 long presses of right lever, 3 long presses of left lever). The price of such a thing is around 50 EUR or less.

i never derestricted my CDI, thats the next mod. I would rather not re-restrict everything, so maybe if i get it inspected where i did not buy it they would not bother me. They don't check my license during inspection anyhow do they?
