Protective gear works well, also a question
« on: February 05, 2013, 04:49:00 PM »
Hey all, first time poster, long time lurker.

About 3 weeks ago I was involved in a battle of physics vs. me and the road going about 45. It appears that the road won, however I can say all the protective gear they say to wear works very well.

I slid on the road for about 10-15 feet with no road rash - thanks to a armored jacket, armored gloves, riding pants and boots.
Not a single mark on my head or face - thanks for a full face helmet

The only injury I have which still is quite bad is a broken tibia and fibula which will take about 2-3 months to fully heal.
But looking at the big picture, things could have been SO much worse.

Now my question is about the bike, it's pretty banged up with respect to the outer plastics. The engine still starts, fork seems to be unbent although the front tire needs to be replaced.

My question is do yall have a site to recommend for buying the different plastics that I will need to replace? I've found a few sites but they look a little questionable in my opinion.

Ahh great, a web site that looks like it's not based in some dudes basement or from China.

Thanks much, once I heal enough to work on the scooter I'll post on how well they (or whom ever else I find) works out.
