180cc bbk advice Update
« on: January 27, 2013, 11:10:46 PM »
Well due to a major piston failure I have decided to buy a big bore kit for my agility 125 was planning on doing this for a while but was waiting for an excuse as its a pretty time consuming job so now the time has come.

Just after some advise on the fuel side of things as have only fitted kits to 2 strokes in the past, Will it run ok on the stock carb, exhaust etc not worried about the power dropping off at higher rpm's as only want to cruise at 60mph max. Any other advise or recomendations etc on things to do fit while the engines out and in bit's would be appreciated.

Well if you don't care about the top end why would you do a 180 instead of a cheapo 150?

Well imagine based in the UK and also the piston has bent a valve so went with a kit that came with a head to save changing valves would i need to jet up or can run as is and just chuck the bore kit on

I see, makes sense. RE The rejet, I'd imagine it would need a little more fuel but it's
hard to tell if you use the stock carb and pipe. All I can tell you is do some plug chops
and see how it's doing from that. Not many people do the BBK and then leave the rest
 stock...

This guy throws in a bigger carb with his kit;
