GRAND VISTA starter button problem
« on: February 24, 2013, 02:39:08 AM »
So, I've quietly enjoyed watching others answe questions... No my turn for a problem

1 st problem , soloinoid was causing starter to spin... Solved by reading these forums...

So, we get it put together and rep, aced the starter also... So now we hit the starter button and it won't make starter crank...

If we jump the soloinoid yes it cranks..

We've went as far as to actually use the dome light " power " to plug into the switch on soloinoid sort of simulating what the starter does...

Can't find any power up at the starter button by using a tester .. We're thinking about just using a bump switch eliminating the starter button...

Oghhh and no blown fuses... Amy thoughts ?

I don't have the wiring diagram for your bike but on mine (Yager) the starter switch creates a ground
for the selonoid, the positive voltage comes from the brake switches (and is tied to the rear brake
light line) so the rear brake light has to be on to start...

So, I got this scooter crazy cheap... As a trainer bike for my GF...so I don't want to out a lot of money into it...

So here's the plan..

I'm taking the assecerory power supply... Hook it to the lines to the soloinoid , then a bump starter... So it will look all cool lol
