This might go easier if you remove the small black fender up in between the forks. 

Here's the back of the module untouched.
Here I've pulled the connector off and I'm pulling off the dust cover.  There's a tab on it but you can grab it anywhere.
Mash hard on this steel wire retainer tab.  Hard enough to almost hurt your finger and ease it upward too.  It'll let go and it's hinged to rotate out of the way.
Like this.
The bulb then just lifts/falls out.

Thanks, now I can see how it is held in! I think, at least the first time I change the bulb, I will remove the front plastics and such so I can get a better idea of how to do it from behind, as in the video. :-*

 I  just received my order of hid lites from hid country in sarasota fl.  to many connectors for me to figure out, would you have a wire diagram to install in a  300i downtown like yours,  I bought 4 lites & ballist set for upper & lower beams,.
I thank you , & I ordered a belt I found out belt size is 1004mmx 25.2 mm 30degree   & 14.7 thick,. my belt measures
1010 mm x 24 so I ordered a new one,.derand shop said it will be in this week,.$260.00 ,.ouch !!thanks again joe goulet

On bulb life. The manufacturers have started specking their bulbs at a lower voltage so when you
run them at stock voltage in a vehicle you get more light but for less time. If you look on this page the Osram
Rallye is specked at 13.2V! http://store.candlepower.com/h4hb29003bulbs.html

You bike runs at 14.7V so if the life was supposed to be 1000 hours now it will be 400. That's why
 those fancy PAIA's only last a year or two. Most stock bulbs on motorcycles are heavy duty (HD)
which are more vibration proof. I have seen overwattage bulbs that are HD for more light but still
won't die from the vibration on a bike but I'm not sure any scooter has extra power to run higher
wattage lights.

I've got one of them newfangled PIAA "yellow" lamps. I love the light output, color rendition and overall appearance.
