Do you have to break in a scooter before derestrictng it or can you have it derestricted brand new?

Since it seems no one is interested in your query I'll give it a go. You can derestrict right away but it wouldn't hurt to let it go for a few hundred miles(kilometers). The restriction will keep you from over stressing the new engine parts. About 300 miles or so would be good. ;)

Sorry Leesir, I can't answer your question because we don't have restricted scooters in our country... but in my opinion, yes, you can derestrict brand new...so all parts will be broken-in together...
