Runs but won't move
« on: March 23, 2013, 03:53:23 PM »
Hi everyone just got the scoot running today for the first time while I've had it and now I've got another problem

The scoot won't move, the drive belt's slipping and I can't figure why what are the specs of a new standard belt?

The belt looks like its getting wedged between the two drive pulleys at the rear of the case

Sorry new to scoots so don't no all the technical terms I'll try and take a pic tomorrow

Thanks in advance Dan

You should be able to run it with the cover removed and watch the pulley's and belt do their thing.
Just be careful it doesn't jump off  the center stand! There is a clutch behind the rear pulley that
"fly's out" to engage the rear wheel. Maybe something wrong with that clutch?

Probably got a belt that's too big fitted. The oe belts are expensive but you MUST have one to max the ped out.
Take a photo of the belt with a tape measure next to it, the original is a bando/ Honda belt
