were do I find a 3mm. spanner

   I have been to prices auto , canadian tire, and some auto supply places, no luck so far, has any one done a valve adjustment on there downtown, what did you use to hold valve adjust screw and tighten lock nut,.

I've heard of people taking a square drive drywall screw and bending it to use as a holder.

They also make special tools with the square bit inside a 10mm socket...

They have a special spanner on this page (called valve adjustment wrench);

3" adjustable wrench works, too. There is a technique of turning the tiny square with your fingertips and then cinching the locknut. Generally, the square will only turn a tiny bit as you start cinching with the locknut so you have to start with the feeler gage kinda loose so it finishes right on the money with just a bit of drag. It is all trial and error with what ever ya use.

   found a easy 3 mm. spanner ,. an old #2 robinson screw driver that has a tip installed just pullout the tip and you have a  # 3 mm. spanner,.
