Coolant system flushing with wet/dry vac?

Anyone tried it?

Drain out all the coolant you can, remove the hose from the coolant pump discharge, put the shop vac hose on the pump discharge (you'd probably have to jerry-rig some sort of adapter to get good suction on the coolant system), and put the coolant hose into distilled water, letting the water be pulled through the system by the suction of the shop vac.

Once enough water has been pulled through the cooling system, let the vacuum run for 20 minutes or so to pull as much water out as possible and dry things out, so the new coolant you put in isn't unduly diluted.

Would this flush the system sufficiently? Would the suction cause any problems?

  when I did my 300i DT. I blew air through the system,  I disconnected lower rad. hose and lower over flow hose  and it cleaned it all out,          the vacuim I have is very strong, and I would not like to crush the rad.  the cooling system is designed for presure  not vacuim,.     just my thoughts on it,.

Here's what I do... motorcycle or car....

1. Drain some water from the radiator.

2. Pour to fill some radiator flushing liquid...

3. Use the vehicle for a day...

4. Drain the cooling system...

5. Flush the system with water (deionized/distilled water)   Back flushing is more effective meaning flushing it with water running the opposite normal flow of the water inside the cooling system... this process easily removes scales and deposits inside the system.   The principle is the same as scaling a fish, by using the scaler opposite the normal direction of the scales...
