Is there a way to reset ECU after new plug?
« on: June 03, 2013, 05:10:28 PM »
Is there a way to reset the EFI (ECU) brain after a new (iridium) plug is installed? Now my idle is faster - which equals less engine braking as I stop. I want to go back to previous idle.
Any ideas ?

Disconnect battery ?
Turn key off and on without a start?
Ideas?

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

If scoot's ECU is same as car...then Yes.... then ride the way you ride for the ECU to "re-learn"...

You can disconnect the battery for a couple minutes and normally that'll completely reset the ECU.
