What do you fill to ? And Clock?
« on: July 31, 2013, 12:52:45 AM »
When I fill at the gas station I use a mini flashlight and fill until the gas reaches that little bar down there. I try not to go over it. I don't want it spashing up to any breather/vent hose.
Usually takes just a bit more than a gallon....and I start for the gas station when the needle is pointing at the last line before E.
What are other folks doing?

Looking at this dash.....My clock keeps pretty darn good time. It is 7 mins fast and has been for better than 3 months now.
Doesn't vary from that. Can't seem to make it change....so I just get everywhere 7 mins early. Clever accessory!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I fill to the bar also. Recently I went too full, it was well over the bar. I was far from home though and it was down to the bar when I parked it in the garage.

I haven't had to adjust the clock since I set it in April.

I fill to the line also or slightly above. I find my tanks has air pockets so once I get slightly above the line I shake the scooter causing the gas level to drop at r near the line. I once overfilled into the neck just a tad below the overflow tube. When I put the gas cap on gas was forced into the overflow pipe which ran out on my floorboard from the left side engine vent. I just ran a hose to rinse the gas off and when I got home sprayed down with S100 and re-rinsed followed by a waxing.

The clock works fine in keeping time. It's the date that jumps around. I can set it and the next day it will have advanced a day or two. If I leave it alone within a week or two it will correct itself. I have tried to cheat by setting the date a day or two earlier than it really is and still it will jump head a day or two from actual. So far April 2013 kept accurate dates. It worked fine until mid July when it jumped ahead two days. It corrected itself on July 23rd and has been correct ever since.

I fill up till the top of the bar is even with fuel. Never had a problem. As for the clock, I can't remember off hand but the book tells you how to set it. I think you have to hold both buttons at the same time till it starts flashing. One changes the number, the other advances to the next number.
