Just won a Kymco, already thinking of some mods...
« on: September 08, 2013, 11:16:58 PM »
Hello all, I figured I would go ahead and join up here since I just WON a People S 125 in a local rally!

So excited since this will be my first scooter/bike ever! I've been wanting a bike for a loooooong time and I finally now have one.

Anyways, I'd like to ask is there any specific website where I can find some cool aftermarket parts for this thing?

I'm thinking purely cosmetic at this point, maybe a tall windshield, a case, thinking of painting the wheels black unless there is a place that I can buy official black wheels from kymco. Then maybe later upgrade the exhaust. My bike is silver with silver wheels and black seat.

One more question, the bike has those odd looking turn indicators right under the handlebars, is there any kind of indicator eliminator kit to get rid of those available?

Thank you all, I pick her up probably Tuesday, can't wait to ride!

It depends on your State you live in. Most states say your turn signals have to be 13 inches apart. That is why they come like that.  Shorter makes it illegal.

In my state (SC) you don't have to have turn signals at all. But if you have some on your scoot they must be of legal width and in working order or you will get a ticket.  Weird.

Hey congrats on the new scoot!! Just wanted to throw this in, get in to a motorcycle safety course ASAP. Sounds like your new to 2 wheels so it is an absolute must to take the course. It's going to show you a ton of stuff to make you much safer. You can find them in your area online. Find one and take it soon.

Congrats again on your new scoot and ride safe, mscmkr
