« on: July 02, 2013, 08:14:35 PM »
Took some pictures in this scooter shop in St Pete Beach, Florida last week.
Anyone know much about these Chinese scoots?
Pretty colors~!

There are lots of Chinese scoot factories in China and they copy each other... They find their way to other countries bearing different brands and it's really very difficult to trace the source... Most of the ones you see in the U.S.A. are re-badged or rebranded with American sounding names and one cannot really trace what factory or Chinese company the scoot came from...

The scoot shop in a town near me, SC coast, carried the Baccio 50cc line last year and used them as rentals. He said he had to send back 1/4 of the scoots because of the horrible frame welding. He said the motors were not too bad but the quality was all over the place and stopped selling them after one season.

I see more and more scooter dealers selling and servicing chineese scooters. Some are better than others. I've done the PDI on a few and done right they can be good scoots.

My first two scooters were the cheap Chinese ones. I learned many things about fixing them. I can never again go back to riding a Chinese scooter. The Kymcos are so much better. You notice the quality of the bike the moment you ride one.  8)

I've found 2strokebuzz's VIN table to be pretty helpful trying to identify a manufacturer.
