DT300i service manual and Kymco analyzer tool

Service manual has TPS setting as .3 to 4.5v and if you set it there  you get a code 06 for TPS out of range. Setting the lower value above about 4.5v or higher will not code 06. I conclude the service info is wrong. What else is wrong?

Sent a request to Kymco USA for info. Will advise what they say if they answer. Realize, of course, that I have what the dealers have as far as info and the analyzer tool so THEY should be asking these questions as well.

Anyone know how to e-mail Kymco Taiwan?

Have had no response from either KymcoUSA or KymcoTaiwan. This is not really a surprise.

Do NOT waste your money on the diagnostic tool. It will give you a tiny bit more than what is built in and that is just what the sensors are reading, TPS volts and percent and that is about it. Take for instance, TPS values. The service manual settings are incorrect as .3 volts will give a code 06 "TPS out of range".  This setting will also give only 88% at WOT. TPS setting should be easy without the analyzer tool: just keep turning the TPS thingy opposite throttle opening until the code goes away which is what you have to do anyway. I will have to try jacking that thingy around to see what it does if ya go too far!

There is a reading for inlet air temp that is blank. This is supposed to be a function of MAP or Manifold Air Pressure. I guess the 'puter gets that value from ambient air temp which I think is displayed on the analyzer tool. There is so LITTLE information on either the tool or the sevice data that I wonder if anyone knows besides that troll they got locked up in the basement in Kaoshiung, the guy that designed the systems!

I did get a polite response from Kymco USa when I emailed them about finding a stock Kymco shock from other models for my LIKE.
Well, it was a polite nope! (but couched in polite corporate talk)

I must admit I also got not only a polite corporate response from them a few years ago but seemingly some kind of action! That was when I discovered the dealer sort of "forgot" to install the battery clamp/cover in the new Yager and was reluctant to respond to any of my communications.

I'm gonna bump this again because I discovered something! Bit the bullet and hooked up the analyzer tool, started the bike and selected "Adjust" on the tool. This jumps to "CO Adjust" for Carbon Monoxide Adjust. Enter that and you get a screen that shows some two whole parameters for a few seconds then goes to "Completed". I guess this provides the ECU the opportunity to adjust the mixture for minimum CO. Key word is "guess". I got this idea from checking the internet for "FI Analyzer Tool" and Kymco FI Analyzer Tool. Seems that alibaba.com peddles a tool that does yamaha, Kymco, Honda and others. Their description of the features was what put me on to this. Too bad we can't get some info out of the dealers or KymcoUSA. What difference could I notice after the adjustment? Hardly any so far but the bike still runs great!

I ordered it from my dealer, Trout, Performance Plus Cycles in Memphis, TN area. $243.00 including shipping. The analyzer was $212.00 or thereabouts.
