GT in the mountains

Finally got a clear day to run my GT through the mountains a few days ago. Lot of rain lately.
Traveled over two mountains.
The GT performed well and gave confidence in its ability to handle the curves and ups and downs.

There was one downside. Not a biggie but a slight negative none the less.
When going into a sharp curve, then going up a steep hill out of the curve, I noticed a flat spot in the power band.
I`m thinking 14g Dr Pulley sliders will help in this regard.

All in all, very pleased with the GT.

ps: After coming down from the mountains, I hit a nice four lane highway. Got the GT up to 92 mph.
A car was blocking the passing lane and I had to back off. Think I could have hit 95. 195 lb rider.

Just put down a deposit on one today, and will pick it up on Thursday.  I'm real curious; how did it do when climbing the hills?  Since you can't shift like on a motorcycle, how does it maintain it's speed on the climbs?

I'm hoping I can occasionally use it to commute to from home at 1500 ft to my cabin at 5700 ft, in 100 miles about half of which on the interstate.

ABD, you will like the GT.
Overall it did good in the mountains. When going up hill, it continually gained speed. 0-40% grade.
The only time it bogged a little is when I would go into a sharp 180 turn and have to slow down to almost a stop to make the curve, then go up a steep hill.
Guess the rpm s would drop low in this situation.
When throttling out of the turn at slow speed/low rpm, as the scoot was gaining speed, a flat spot in the power band was noticeable.
Riding more aggressive and DR Pulley slider will probably eliminate most of this.
Overall I was pleased with the way the GT performed.
I think you will be very pleased with your GT.
For normal, sensible riding the GT does fine.

Mountain range - 4280 ft max.

Thanks for the real-world feedback on the GTi in the mountains. Looking forward to picking up my gold one on Thursday.

Got my GTi on Thursday as planned. Wow, what a machine. Was very impressed on how well it indeed was in the mountain twisties! On Sunday morning I rode it over the Mingus Mountain pass from Prescott to Jerome which went up to 7400 feet or something like that. This is a nice scooter with handling as good as a fine motorcycle. With its CVT transmission and smooth power delivery, I believe I can take the corners as good or better than on my Moto Guzzi Stelvio!  There was never a time when I felt I needed more power, and I especially like how smooth and predictable it was. Seems to have a surprisingly very stiff frame. I did scrape a little on some of the real tight corner (the center stand I think), but that was just an indication to cool it a bit. I really like this scooter!

I also had the GT300i up to 7400 feet, going over the mountain pass on highway 50 going east toward south lake tahoe california.  The GT300i was able to maintain speeds over 60 MPH, going upgrade, even when I got to 7,000 feet.  I was amazed.  The fuel injection and 4 valves really makes the engine very efficient.  Now, I want to see how it does climbing over a 10,000 foot pass.  If anyone knows, please share.

Happy to hear you are pleased with your GT.
I forgot to mention in my earlier post about the suspension. It feels good and handles the curves good without any wobbles or shakes. It felt as good as my sport bike, which kinda surprised me.
I did not push it to its limits but, I have no desire to kill myself.
The GT is a really nice motor scooter.
