My wife recently had an accident on her '09 xCiting 500ri and I had to replace the front fairing and the headlight assembly. I bought this scooter new a few months ago and only while replacing the headlight assembly did I notice that there are two bulbs in the headlight that I can't figure out how to turn on. In the manual they are called position lights which I assume would be parking lights. The problem is the manual shows a control switch on the right handle bar that controls these lights. My scooter does not have this switch which also turns the headlight off. I guess U.S. models don't allow the headlight to be turned off. There are also two additional wiring harnesses under the fairing that match the wiring and connectors that connect to the turn signals. Has anyone else noticed these bulbs and figured out a way to power them without the switch mechanism. Also, any idea why there are extra wires for the turn signals?
Thanks,
Steve
