Headlight glare

My riding position etc always seemed to put my angle of vision in line with an issue I had heard about in a review somewhere.  I don't do a lot of night riding, but with gas $ the way there, I plan on more of that this year.  A quick fix if anyone else has this issue is a simple attaching of body pinstripe at the top of the headlight right between the clear lens and where the "chrome" trim ring meet.  I have attached a crude pic, but will upload an actual photo when I get a good one.  There is a roundness in the mold or form of the lens that causes this bending of the light off the bulb and right into my line of sight.  The tape really made a difference.

That little glaring light is the only way I know mine is on. I would panic without it.

Right on! Sometimes, I have to lean forward and see if my lights are on.

I didn't have that problem when using my full face helmet, only when I had to look down to see my speedo. Didn't really bother me that much till I got my 3/4. It's not that it blinds me but it is distracting. I've been thinking about putting a cut piece of dark window tint, or even electrical tape over the top. As for the other replies, I don't think the headlight is that awful, but i do plan on sticking a brighter bulb in there. I do lots of night time city riding, but when riding in the country at night, it's all high beams. Does anyone have a good suggestion of a replacement bulb?

I'm a daily commuter working swing-shift, so the glare issue is a huge deal.  Here's what I do to fix it.

I keep a roll of black electrical tape in the glove box and tear a strip off and slap it on the top of the headlight on the way home from work.  Once I get home I remove the tape so it doesn't look too trashy in the daylight.

Electrical tape is cheap and doesn't leave residue if you replace it often and don't leave it baking in the sun for hours!

Hi,  I've had my like200i less than a month, and the only thing I can't stand is that headlight glare.
I don't understand how a scooter company can make such a mistake.
I didn't think of electrical tape, but I used some black window stripping, it works and doesn't look too bad.  I am hoping that a later version of the like will fix this, and maybe I can swap out a part.

I keep a roll of blue painter's tape in the top trunk- put it on every morning when I set off for work in the dark - toss it when I get there. If this thing wasn't built seemingly backwards, with magic / hidden fasteners from one end to the other (WAS that a point of pride for them?!)  I could pop that chrome ring off and maybe do something clever with the lense. You know, some chrome phillips screws in plain view all over the place (like for instance the light covers!!) wouldn't be a bother to the owner!!
Ah well, Gotta remember Taiwanese are about 5'6" tops.....they probably don't even see a glare and love their seats!

Nope, I'm 5'6" and the glare bothers me too.

I put a strip of black tape at the top of mine .  In the day time it doesn't bother but at night the glare is pretty annoying, possibly dangerous.  The tape works perfect.
