Ethanol treatment or not in P150?
« on: August 23, 2013, 01:57:39 AM »
Since I haven't seen much activity in this section of the forums, I thought I would post this here instead of the general forum. I use ethanol-free premium gas (91 octane) in my new-to-me 2006 People 150. Would it be a good idea to put in a bottle of ethanol treatment every now and then to help keep the carb clean, or would it just be a waste of money? Thanks for the info! Loving this forum and my Kymco!

I have been using ethanol free 87 octane in my 2005 P150 for several years.  I add 1 oz/gal of Seafoam about every 4th of 5th fill-up and it has always run great.  Not sure if it would run just as well without the Seafoam, but over the years, several forum readers have sworn by it.

Thanks for the reply and the info, Calothrix. Adding the Seafoam every 4th or 5th makes a lot of sense, and I will start doing that, since my P150 only has 1500 km on it.
Happy scooting!
