OK, just as well we divert to San Diego --- I've got a half boat load of sea-sick scooter riders and everybody is fighting over the 4 lawn chairs. I think I've got just enough bottles of cold Corona left to put them in a happy place until we start the scooter rodeo on the beach.

Thanks anyway, Andymann.....maybe next year we'll be able to get together!

Just got back from a 300 mile ride to see the foliage in the Adirondack Mountains. Ended up riding with a local Honda Gold Wing Club. Had no trouble keeping up with the "big" boys. I must have seen 100-150 motorcycles on this trip and no scooters. Can't figure it out. Scooters are cheaper, get better fuel mileage, and (in my opinion) are a lot easier and more fun to ride. Can't understand why they don't seem to catch on.

I totally agree. I don't understand why motorcycles are so plentiful when scooters are just better all around. Guess it's up to us to spread the word and to enlighten people to the benefits of the scooter lifestyle!

I had the oil changed yesterday.  Decided to try Castrol's fully synthetic 4T Power 1 oil 10w-40. I also had the old gear oil drained and replaced.  My Like 125 took in 2 small cans of the gear oil.  Now the engine seems smoother and purrs like a kitty.  :D

I agree with Vivo, Some of the early Vespas really damaged our masculine image on scooters here in the States.

Actually, it's Hollywood's fault...
