Vespa valve adjustment bad dream
« on: October 19, 2013, 02:53:12 PM »
At least for my LIKE 200i - the valve adjustment is a snap compared to those poor folks who own a Vespa.
Plus, look at all the parts and tools you have to buy~
I watched 2/3rds of this and couldn't take it any more......

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Stig, I watched this very same video and could not believe that it is necessary to DROP THE ENGINE to do the valves! You would think that a company that has built scooters since 1949 could have found a way to provide a removable panel in front of the engine to facilitate valve maintenance. I know that Vespa engines require fewer resets by mileage bit this is just nutz. :o

The problem with "euro" vehicles....  Have you seen the video on how to change a headlight bulb on a Renault Megane?  first, get a jack, jack the front, remove the front tire........  :o
