Hi guys, I plan to get a used 2010 yager with 1500+ miles on it. What should I look out for if the unit has any hidden defect?

What should be the top speed?

What should be the mileage?

Any additional advise & guidance much appreciated.

Welcome bunker buster....  If you can ask why the owner is selling it might be a good start...Ask about engine mods?   A test ride would give you a nice feedback... does it wobble? accelerate good? squeaks? rattles? engine sound? paint o.k.?  Now, if the ride makes you smile... I think that would be it...

Hi, Bunker Buster.

The Yager's a great little bike, if it's well maintained. Mine will do 77 MPH (it'll hit 79 if the air temperature and humidity is just right), but that's over redline, and is most likely because I did a hard break-in of the engine to properly seat the rings, and because I'm running Dr. Pulley sliders, which gives a bit more range on the CVT. Most bikes will hit 72 MPH or so.

I'm getting about 65 MPG, but others are doing better... might be because I use mine on the freeway at 70 to 75 MPH for about half my riding.

You might want to ask if there's been any modifications, problems, etc., and if the previous owner has a record of the maintenance done on the bike.

1500 miles!!
If the owner hasn't screwed it up with mods or skipped oil changes or wrecked it - this thing is still brand new for the most part.
 
(read a review of a very similar scoot to this - guy has 60,000 miles on it with no issues. Proper maintenance.)

My Kymco scooter has 3000+ miles on it and it IS brand new!
