s250 freeway speeds
« on: July 11, 2013, 10:51:23 PM »
I ended up going to south dakota early. Went wed. and came back today. 310 miles each way plus a few extra miles to see some stuff. It stayed up with traffic. 70 plus miles per hour no problem. Was all the scooter people say it is. I did discover that B.P. gas seemed to make it go alittle faster, not sure why. I really do like my kymco.

its a great scooter for the long rides. BP has no ethanol in it so it has more bang for the buck so to speak. with out the variable valve timing that cars have, higher potency fuel is easier to notice. I use BP 92 in mine and get better MPG and power out of it.

Ok now it's time to change the oil.   experience talking I use either mobil 1 4t or Amsoil 10-40 mc.  and I change it between 500 and 1000 miles depending on the type of riding and weather.    Yeah the People 250S is great for highway riding and it can take it for sure but there is a price to pay in increased maintenance still well worth it in my opinion.
