This guy is the first honest bike reporter I have read. He tells the truth as he see's it. Most often someone who has a certain bike, like his burger 650, would say everything else is just a big piece of crap next to his bike. He is dead on about the seat to leg room problem. My in-seam is 32 inches. I could never ride this bike anywhere for any distance. Kymco really screwed the pouch in this area. He is right, they need different seat offerings. If the seat was flat and I could set back a few more inches, and be able to move around a little more as I can on my X500 (and had the money), this bike would be at the top of my list. The silver wing has the same problem as the 700, but not as bad. The burg 650 and BMW 650 are dreams to set on.  :-*

The LIKE has some of the worst ergonomics going in the Kymco line.....which I first learned about on the justgottascoot review.
But the Philippine LIKE Club just passed 500 memebers - and those guys love their scooter and seem to complain very little about the seating. I just wondered if these scooters are just so targetted for Asians and Europeans that we cannot expect to fit them? Maybe it's not a Kymco mistake - ?

I didn't spend a lot of $ on my seat rebuild, but I did spend a lot of time to make myself comfortable on my LIKE. It is well worth it as I can now ride in a better position with much better comfort for much longer periods.
It sure does make the scooter more ejoyable when you can forget about the ergonomics and just ride.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

When I first picked up my 500 it had a nice big comfortable flat seat.  Compared to my previous Burgman (where I never could find a comfortable position for long rides) it was a dream.  For reasons I won't go into here that seat ended up getting replaced with a stock Kymco seat.  While still comfortable my riding position is "tight" at times.

I often thought that she was not really built for taller, fatter Americans.   :-\

My Super 8 is a pain in the ass with one rider... and a dream to ride with two... shocks are stiff but handles great... I love my scoot... ;)
