Overfilled my transmission oil. Now I see leakage.

So long story short, I overfilled my downtowns tranny oil. I noticed leakage so I drained it all out and THIS time put the correct amount in. I seem to still be seeing some leakage but I'm hoping it is just leftovers from before. I am going to clean it all up and keep my eye on it. However, Can anyone shed light on what could be damaged if I have created a problem? What are typical reprocussions of overfilled tranny oil.

I should also mention that put about 120 miles on the scoot before I was able to drain it. So I did ride at speed with it overfilled

The rear gearbox should be connected to the air intake box via a small rubber hose.
So, most like you got some/a lot oil in the air box. Remove the cover to th eair box and clean it up inside.
You may need a new air filter if it is saturated with oil.
That should be the sum of the problems if you didn;t have any engine problems.
scoot safely,

I did the same thing a couple of years ago, no damage to scooter just the filter was soaked,. bow dry and reinstall, oil came out for some time after, 20,000 miles later scoot still good,.
