Assembling Problem.
« on: January 13, 2014, 11:18:53 AM »
Hello.

I have taken my bike apart too try and solve a running issue with a friend who is a mechanic. However he has now been called offshore.

After the bike had been put together, two problems cropped up.

Problem one: My fuel gauge is no longer going up even though there is a full tank of petrol.

Problem Two: The bike merely ticks over and over as it would before the bike starts however it doesn't ignite and start up. It has had a new coil pack and spark plug, and the battery is fully charged. I have put the throttle cable back on, however I cannot fit the ball at the end of the wire on the throttle cable into the slot on the piece on the side of the carb the throttle sits into it and pulls back and forth however is the ball on the end of the wire required too slot into place and could this be what is stopping the bike from starting up?

All help is appreciated.

Kind regards
