LIKE at the Ranger Station
« on: December 19, 2013, 09:01:24 PM »
Able to get out for a 2.5 hr ride this morning!

Perhaps the least attractive view of a LIKE. What a butt!

Plenty of deer around........

Scooter ran great - love that EFI with cold starts. Fires immediately and idles perfectly after sitting for a week.
A better side of the scoot!

Stig, what's your riding gear to stay warm?  Is there a magic jumpsuit...

Stig, what's your riding gear to stay warm?  Is there a magic jumpsuit...
Dear 200i,
Today: Mesh sneakers, 2X Fruit 0' The Loom sox and skippies, jeans, FrogTogg rain pants, thermal shirt, plaid shirt, fleece turtle neck , windbreaker, Hi-Viz First Gear armored jacket w/liner, balaclava & scarf over mouth/neck, modular HJC.

If really cold (below 20 F) add boots and a second balaclava pulled up to eyes. With this over my nose and mouth I cannot stop moving or my spectacles will fog immediately.
I always wear the Hi-Viz armored jacket, helmet and leather gloves.
I imagine a jumpsuit would be better - but I go in and out of stores and can peel off layers quickly to put in the top case.
If it is really cold, I just keep everything on and go on in...including helmet (cause I look like a terrorist in those balaclavas)
You must keep your hands warm - or it is game over.
Bar mitts coming for Xmas!
