Moving the service manuals to the Kymco Links thread??
« on: May 02, 2014, 09:57:26 AM »
Do any of you all think it may be a good idea to move all the manuals we can find that are scattered about  to the Kymco Links thread?
That Links to Manuals thread is constantly getting lost, and is soooooo full of chit chat it is hard to find what is in there. Plus all the manuals that are just shotgunned here, and there.

It is more often that not a first time poster is looking for a manual. Just a thought, and I dont mind digging around to get it going... I wanted to see what you all thought or if there is a better way to manage them.
As always... :-*

I think that idea would save a lot of time for the newbies, like me, from re-asking the same questions over and over.

We might also suggest to the almighty administrator of the site to create a separate category just for manual info, so people know just where to look from the main page.

But, I'm probably over-thinking the issue.   :)

Like like the idea. I do not believe Skad has given anyone Moderator status which should allow them to move threads, topics, delete, etc. If there's someone he can trust it could be a great help to him (unless he wants to put in the time).

Could be organized something like this.
"Manuals" would be a sub-forum inside of "Technical | How To"
Each scooter thread would include links to both Owners and Service Manuals.

KymcoForum.com General Technical | How To Manuals Xciting 700i
KymcoForum.com General Technical | How To Manuals Xciting 500
KymcoForum.com General Technical | How To Manuals Downtown 300
Etc, etc, etc

I think that's a great idea. I have a service manual, but for folks that don't, it could be very helpful.

DM, I was just thinking of copy/paste the links. I can delete my own nonsense but I wasn't thinking that far.
I agree it would save a TON of time for finding them.

And yes, You sir. The shiny headed fella in the front row. Your plan is brilliance at its pinnacle. When can you get started?

Seriously tho... I just saw the Kymco Links sticky was all but empty, and thought why not.
Maybe I'll start moving the links via copy / paste to get them in one place. If something more happens ie: Alla Kreps's suggestion at least we will have a running start.

Who said that?   :o We need better smilies.  ::)

I copied all the links to the Kymco Links sticky. If anyone asks... Axy had a gun to my head, and made me do it.
That's MY story, and I'm sticking to it
