Stig scooting again.
« on: February 13, 2014, 11:58:44 PM »
I hope all of you guys and gals will be scooting again, soon!
Sunny today- teens rising to the 20's, and a lot of clear roads gave me 2 hours of scootering!
Getting about one ride a week this year.
Took some time to practice riding on snow today. Slowly - and staying away from the front brake (per 'scooter in the sticks' fellow's warning). The Michelins do OK in the white stuff; soft snow and hard-packed.
Watch for shaded areas and side road turn-ins (which are a pain because of those idiots who always tail-gate a scooter in Ohio - really: the safest procedure is to run your planned route in a car first - then just keep retracing that route on your scooter ride. Not today - but have done that before.)
Practicing in the snow.....

Hot coffee hits the spot....

This guy was ice fishing out there.......a goofy thing to do on a cold day with snow everywhere!

Stig - Is ice fishing on a cold day any crazier that scootering? I admire your devotion, but question your sanity. Keep it up, bro. You make the rest of us look like pantywaists.

Seems you can't keep a good scooterist down. Good on you Stig for not letting Mother Nature dampen your spirits. Your pictures remind me when I used to ride my dirt bike in the snow.
