Meet Lilith, my new Like 150!
« on: January 25, 2014, 08:03:31 AM »

The dealer surprised me with an early call. I was supposed to receive the scoot next Tuesday, but the supplier sent in a fresh one already in stock. Oh joy!

Got a good deal for a 34L Givi box. I traded in my free helmet and raincoat (I already have those) for a hefty rebate on the top box. Fits my Shark Evoline 3 + a few other stuff nicely.

I (stupidly) grabbed on to the plastic passenger handle cover thingy when trying to adjust the position of my parked scoot, and broke it. So I took the whole thing off. I'm thinking of either fixing the cover, or coming up with an alternative solution. In the meantime, I'm gonna ride Lilith like this.

Fat-bottomed girls will be riding to day, so look out for those beauties oh yeah!

A little elbow grease and some Goo-Gone, and all the emblems and logos are off! I'm going to 'panda'-rize Lilith with some plasti-dip to make her almost entirely monochrome. I'll post results when it's complete!

So far, I've been very happy with the purchase. The acceleration and and top speed are more than adequate for 85% city use and 15% dual carriageway/highway use. At 5'11" and 88kg, I can comfortably squeeze 120km/h (indicated) on a flat road outta this little machine - not bad at all!. Hopefully Lilith will be a part of my life for a long while.

Thank you! On the way home from the dealership, I've bonded with the Like already! Splitting lanes and flicking about in traffic like nobody's business. Not having to use the clutch and haul a heavy 650cc bike in traffic was a huge plus.

If you're satisfied with the acceleration now, just wait till you have it fully broke in! You'll be really happy! It took mine about 3000 miles or more before I stopped noticing performance gains.
