Got a new toy today.

http://www.kymcousa.com/showroom/scooters/xciting500iabssii/index.html

It's metallic gold/ orange and beautiful. I named it 'Goldfinger.'

It was 10 degrees when I picked it up so we loaded it into my trailer and when I got to my home, I rode it from the driveway to the garage which was 35 feet:( Spring please come quickly! Global warming my peach!

Now I can really start participating in the forum.

Congrats! I pick mine up tomorrow. It's supposed to be in the 60's here in Texas, so I get to ride it home. Enjoy your new scoot!!

Enjoy your new scoot my friend, at least maybe you can ride it a bit without turning into a popsickle!!!

I love Texas and was stationed in Amarillo, TX at the Strategic Air Command base in the summer and winter of 1966---great folks, great food and beautiful wide open spaces!

Let us know about your new toy!

Sam:)

If there is no snow/ic along the road to melt and refreeze, dress warm, and ride that baby!

After Church yesterday, I put about 40 miles on the new 500, in perfect 59 degree weather. I would have went further but a meal was ready for me and the family:)

Impression's were favorable although the rear shocks need to be adjusted from the #1 position to #4 or #5 to help the ride. The forks although soft were okay on smooth roads. The brakes worked as I expected them to which was fantastic. The initial startup and idle is very smooth for a 500cc thumper. Even at low throttle settings, the power and torque was apparent. I didn't exceed a 55-60 mph cruise but the windscreen kept a lot of the air off of my chest. The handling was good in the twisties but not like my past Yamaha T-max 500. The seat was okay but will be better when I find my Alaskan sheep skin seat cover.

Today there will be no riding in SW Missouri because it's 10 degrees with a stiff northern wind and the wind chill factor is -4 degrees---not this kid!

**** I did find one problem: My gages don't sweep from bottom to top and then back again when I turn on the ignition. This scoot is supposed to do that!!! What's up???
