Picnic ride
« on: February 09, 2014, 10:56:27 PM »
So went for a 70mile ride to a park 50 miles away. Should have made a right instead of a left LOL. It's all good. Was hoping for some slow country roads, not so. 40 of the 50 miles were going 60mph. Definitely need to find the right wind screen. Your head gets wind fatigue. Thanks to my latest thrift shop find for $10, was able to lunch in style. I attached it to the seat with a motorcycle cargo cord from Walmart for $5. I highly recommend this item for the plastic hooks which don't scratch the scoot.

Gotta love those 70 mile/50 mile rides! Know what you mean. It sometimes takes me about 30 minutes to ride the 2 miles from my office to home.
Nice picnic basket. Is there a place for the wine bottle?
Think I need to become an Aussie this time of year. I'm looking out my window at 10 inches of snow, 35 degrees and no let up in sight. Scoot be idle for about 10 days. >:(

Why yes it does come with a detachable insulated wine bottle holder, but I never mix booze and scoots. I'm not that experienced a rider and need to be on my game. Sorry about your weather. I'll send you warm thoughts and hope that helps.

No, you do not need to move to Australia. Move to Vegas. Its gonna be in the mid sixties, low seventies. This is just perfect for riding one's scoot.

But I've heard you have to bring your own water bottle.

You gotta get your signature block changed. That sure don't look like a LIKE in those pictures.

All one is a good hydration pack. They can purchased at most sporting goods and outdoors stores such as REI, The Sport Chalet, and Dicks Sporting goods. Put some ice in the hydration and you are good to go for the day.
