Longer gas strut for Seat.

Just curious, I would think a longer gas strut for the seat will allow the seat to open up higher.

A bigger opening would help me tremendously as i have a bad back.

Easy enough to test out... Remove either end of the cartridge, and see if you can open it to a comfortable level. If that pans out you have two options... In either case you will HAVE to move at least one of the mounting pivots to accommodate the longer "closed length" of the new cartridge  so my thought is you may be able to relocate BOTH mount points to get a better travel, and wider opening.

Maybe???

The taller overseas seat for the Downtown allows much wider opening to access the storage under the seat hump. It's quite a bit more expensive than sourcing a strut, but it does make available storage a great deal bigger.  Just an option.  :)

Good luck finding one that dosnt cost an arm and a leg though. Cheapest I found was $200 with another $300 for shipping.
