Technigas makes a couple pipes for your scoot that will allow you to open the carb., and get the power you are looking for.http://www.tecnigas.com/o/cerca.php?marca=16&models=359&idioma=en&tria_tub=Go.  There are a few posts on carb tuning in this forum that will help. Read through them completely as there are many pitfalls along the way. I would scrap the fact air box in favor of a full flow unit. before trying to re-jet. you can only get so much air through a straw. Keep posting so we can watch. You may be suprised how many people you can help, w/ your experience!

..zombie..I was told that pipes didnt make much difference on a 4-stroke...Have you had the opportunity to see that they do?..

 ???

..My K & N air filter came in today, and Imma install it this evening...Got my needle drills to open my jet if needed...

..I'll be so glad to get rid of that big ugly stock airbox...

Yeah slinger, MOST replacement pipes will fall short on good performance for 4 stroke engines, but when you read the small print (not legal for street/ highway use) you are getting into the pipes that DO make a noticeable diff. I have a friend in L.I., N.Y. who has been racing Honda engines for 30+ years, and If he suggests something, I listen. Billy turned me on to Technigas almost three years ago, and everyone I know that has used their stuff has been satisfied. The tough part for me is getting a carb tuned right over the noise of an open exhaust. The People at Technigas will also give you BASELINE specs for your carb depending which pipe you want to run,and your cylinder, cam valve train set up. I think the link I posted for franx will also apply to your scoot. I found it's ALWAYS better to spend the money to call, and ask about your situation dirrect.

I agree with your last statement, for sure..I'm probably not going to change my pipe any time soon..I'm kinda happy with my scoot as it is, other than installing this air filter, and getting that tuned out..I'm running way over what is legal speed in my state...and I'm still on probation from my dwi...I don't want to press my luck too aweful much..  ;)

..man, I'm just sitting back here thinking, wow...I can't believe how much I've learned from all you guys in this forum...

iT'S MUTUAL slinger, I noticed in the pict. of your cdi the bottom is shaved. I think they did this to SHOW that it has been derestricted, not that the shave IS the derestriction
