Yews they are "restricting the bike UNLESS your set up runs best at those rpms. (power band).
A gear set will slow down take off but could add 5-10MPH depending on where your kit is designed to run.

I don't want to read right now so post up what you have, and I will let you know what you have. ;D

Naraku Sports Variator
10g Rollers
1500rpm Contra Spring
Tecnigas NextR Exhaust

On hand:
2000rpm contra
various fly springs
Malossi variator
Malossi 15% upgear kit
Naraku racing CDI

Once the on hand stuff gets on the bike, then Ill work getting a new clutch
