Headlights not working
« on: July 15, 2013, 12:55:39 PM »
Hello all,

The headlights on my '07 MXU 300 went out all of the sudden.  All other lights work.  Checked power to them with engine running and switches in various positions, and there is none.  Wires all look pristine.  Is there a relay?  Seems that whatever controls lights when engine is running isn't triggering.  The high beam indicator works, which strikes me as odd, but if that works regardless of engine status then I guess it would still make sense.

Thanks for any feedback.  New to Kymco's.  So far, I love it, but the little parking lights don't help much in the dark.  Flipped the sucker on my way out of the woods in the dark.  I thought about bypassing using the parking light wire, but if it's a simple fix I'd like to try that first.

I know it has been a long time since you posted your message and you may have already figured out the problem.  It is a small relay that is attached under the left brake assembly with a single Phillips screw. the Kymco Part No. is:  3860A-LCA5-E01.
