From cyclepedia.com  - if your LIKE200i starter is playing up.
Note- we don't have a side-stand switch on our LIKE's in the USA.

Always on the "A" game. Nice!

Great chart but...

#3 "Faulty Stop Switch" is wrong.  The starter will turn whether the on/off switch is on or off.  If off engine will not start but starter still turns.
#6 "Faulty Side Stand Switch" is wrong.  The starter will turn whether the side stand is up or down.

I went through this as my left brake lever stop switch corroded to the point where I couldn't get the starter to turn.  I took off the switch and cleaned the contact and put it back on and no more problems.  Also, when the starter button is pressed the LCD should go blank ever time the starter is pressed.

Absolutely correct - thanks!
We have no side stand cut-off.
and I know it will try to start with the kill switch off - because I did that once after drying it from a big rain....then it wouldn't start the next day. I'd tripped the kill switch with the towel and the starter cranked away but would not start.
Then I noticed the kill switch....and it fired angrily... and immediately!

Thanks for the post it's a nice chart. The brake light switch that I cleaned is $21 online!
